5W-30 M1 ok?

Default 5W-30 M1 ok?

I just bought some 5W-30 mobil 1 and wanted to make sure its the right stuff.

It will work, it really all depends what u have done, and what time of year it is and where u live. I used m1 15w-50, fully syn.

Audi suggests 5w40... I've been running 5w30 -- though I'm going to switch soon... possibly amzoil 5w40. Always use full synthetic, and I always change it every 3000 miles or so -- oil and OEM filter.

I am using it in the summer in so cal so... It is fully synteic and i will be ordering a new oil filter. I havent opened it yet so should i return it or no? And i thought the manual said every 5,000?

I use mobil 1 every 3000 and never had any complaints

Yeah, I wouldnt sweat every 5K if your using full synthetic, and changing the filter every 5K as well... aaaaaaaand most importantly, your in a 2.8
