60k service
I was calling around to get prices on 60k service, and apparently each dealer sets its own prices:
Dealer #1: $250.00
Dealer #2: $620.00
WTF? I didn't think there would be this much disparity between dealers regarding 60k service. Dealer #1 is where I bought my A4 & received my 50k service from, but I've also taken my car into Dealer #2 once for a CPO car issue. What do you guys make of this? Why the huge price variance?
BTW, I made an appointment with dealer #1. Gonna drop the car off Monday after work.

dealer one probably saw that they did alot of stuff on 50k service that you wont need this soon, dealer 2 probably wants to do more. When do they recomend the timing belt for the b6,,, i would do it now if it was my car.

There is no explaination for dealer 2, they should be the same. The 60k service is a big service for certain engine codes, they may have mixed them up?

I paid $160 for my 60k service.. which was all things I could of easily done myself. plugs, air filter and cabin filter. That's all he did... well, he did walk around the vehicle looking for anything wrong.

my usuall mechanic said that they'll price your service for inspection, but if there is anything need to be changed they'll give you extra bill, true or not, but that's the only thing that i canthinkof #2 dealer did
