90k for timing belt?
I called Audi and asked when they recommend changing the timing belt since I'm looking to purchase a used A4 2.8L quattro sedan with 75k miles. The dealership said they don't change the timing belt until 90k... I've been reading here people saying 60-75k. Which is the correct value?
Thanks.
Thanks.
I'm at 65,1xx in an '04 and doing it this wed and thurs.... I have a close family friend at Jack Daniels in jersey. Gunna get manufacturer prices and free/madly reduced labor... thas the only reason im doin it now but cant wait to have it done and off my mind.
I'm not sure if other models have had problems but I know there was a class action suit (two actually) by owners of 1997-1999 A4's with the 1.8T engine. Mine broke at 78K and f*cked every single intake valve in the process. Not a cheap repair. [:@]
