Default 92 Octain Fuel? WHICH CHIP??

OK, so here in spokane we have 89 and then 92 octain fuel. My question is should I get a 91 octain chip or a 93 octain chip? Thanks

Josh

I would get a 91 to be safe - however all fuel injection engines that are ECU controlled have a knock sensor. That little gem retards timing to prevent pre ignition.

I would say get the 91 chip and put 92 in it. But I dont think it will really matter too much.
What kind of chip are you gonna get?

gas is retarded. i've seen everything from 87 to 93 octane at pumps (and i mean every number inbetween) one station i went to had 5 different options[&:]why dont they just make it all the same? 87, 89, 93 is what the majority is in florida

as for your question, i would just get the 91 octane chip. just to be on the safe side tho, i would email GIAC, REVO, and APR to see what each of them thinks.
