Exhaust on the 2.8 will make a huge difference, ther tend to be really
held down by the the 2 resonators @ the back, I removed mine and ran a
maganflow muffer, YISH you will really notice the diff it like Day & nite

 

im in the same situtation you are, i have the 2.8. Basically like every one said the best thing you can do is get a New exhaust. Which is all personal prefferance, most websites have sound files so you can hear the exhausts, you should go check that out. The free mod is worth it. Most of all though i think you should go with the susspension kits, new wheels, and i would personally go with the 3 1/2 Foot spoiler. Mines painted gold to match my teeth but its up to you... can someone give me a good example the best complete exhaust kit that i can buy???(i dont want to complicate with custom exhaust)
That includes like uppipes and downpipes and everything.
Can someone plaese explain how the whole exhaust system works, like what exactly is a "catback" exhaust and do most exhaust system come complete with uppies and downpipes or is it just the muffler??

Lol I was hoping someone would reply about the downpipes too. I've been searching the whole forum.

 

the down pipes today are well made only problem is manufacture residue (over casting) which they don't clean away so consider porting and polishing.
