I have a 99.5 1.8T Quattro (167k, cold weather pkg, cd/mp3) that the engine has seized up on. I am looking to get rid of it, but do not know what a fair asking price is. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would say no more than a couple grand, if it's in nice shape.

not a bad idea, you'd probably make more money doing it that way. it'd take a lot longer though.
