my friends dad said he would sell me his stock 17x7.5 offset 56mm wheels off of his A3 (for cheap)
the bolt patterns match up i'm just wondering if there will be a problem with clearing the control arm

tires are 225/45/17

 

wow - 56mm is that right? I don't think so - check your #'s again - but anyway - I just checked out the A3 on discounttiredirect.com and most of the wheel options have the same offset of 35-45 as our car does, so it should work fine - If your worried, do a little tire swap some night and check out the fitment (and looks)

If anything, you might need to buy four spacers to give you less of an offset
