A4 2.8L Performance Upgrades?
 

Could anyone suggest some engine upgrades for a 2.8L engine. I have seen numerous upgrade suggestions for 1.8L T but no 2.8L ideas? What is worth doing to the 6 cylinder engine? Chipping it?

Supercharge it! I've heard a lot of people say the chip for the 2.8 is pretty weak.

Supercharging would be great, I agree. I wasen't really looking to spend a boatload of $$ though.

Not much you can do other chip and exhaust. I'd look at getting someone to fabricate some headers and then HPC them....

NorCalA4, the 2.8 really isn't a performance engine. There really isn't much you can do with it.

For shame Jestnomen! The 2.8 is hi-po to begin with and just look at what can be done!

Marcus had you read my 2nd post, you would have seen I already suggested that. He already said he doesn't want to supercharge (too much money).

wut kinda of 2.8 do u have the 12v or the 30v

He has a 99, which would make it a 30V.

yea i would put in an exhaust and get unorthodox s crank pulley. it costs around 200 shipped and you should see some difference
