First of all, I took the car on a long ride 550 miles or so. Next day the car would not start, it just turnes over and sounds like it wants to start. First I think timming belt, but I think it may be something else. When it is about to start the oil like comes on and gives off a tone. Of course the hood release in the grill is broken so I cant open the hood, any ideas how to open it after realeasing it from inside? Is there a low oil safty switch that will stop the car from starting? Will it sputter like its going to start up with a blown timmin belt?

don't know I cant get the hood open. Would it sound like it wants to start with a blown belt?
