A4 most likely FAQs
sry to post this as a new topic, but i can't really find the answers i want through the search bar
i'm looking into getting an a4 1.8t with quattro in the near future [as soon as my car sells] but i'm concerned about how heavy it is. how do these handle on the stock suspension, what would you say is the first mod....
i don't want to do a chip right away, because i want to save up for k04 then chip it at that point and probably go with an ecs n75
is the suspension the point to begin at, or somewhere else
this car is a bit heavier than what i'm driving now (by a few hundred pounds), i expect the quattro to step up the handling, i'm quite a fan of a good spirited drive on a nice mountain road
one last question, is quattro more front wheel biased or rear wheel biased? (i'll be looking around a 98 if it makes a difference)
thanks for all the help

I dont know if mine has the sport suspension or not but it handles very well for a 3400 pound 4 door family car. I alomost forget Im in a family car. IMHO I think the stock or factory audi sport suspension is good enough unless you do alot of auto cross. As far as HP potential these cars have some potential but audi didnt intend them to be drag cars so dont expect 12s without dishing out alot of cash. But if you want a 4 door car with superb handling, spirited performance, awsome luxary, and great space and utility all rolled into one package then I think the audi a4 is your car.
