A4 Oil Pan To Low???
i recently poked a hole in my oil pan on my 96 a4 2.8... i have fixed it, i was wondering, it looks as if a big skid plate goes underneath the car, is this true??? and also does it help at all? and if so, ... do i have to order one from the dealer...? |
RE: A4 Oil Pan To Low???
not called a skid plate but mainly sound proofing plus it stops water roting the lower parts of the engine and its plastic so it dosnt protect the engine but worth putting one on because it also helps air flow resistance under the car and it looks good and clean

$652? your kidding right? The 2.8 isn't even hard to take off like the 1.8. I had mine fixed for $35.

RE: A4 Oil Pan To Low???
i took off the pan, cleaned it, took it to a welding shop and had em fix it...
it cost about 35$ total cuz i had to buy a new gasket from the dealer... and pay for the weld, but it better than buying a 300 dollar pan from the dealer... |
RE: A4 Oil Pan To Low???
