Im currently looking at picking up an 03 A4 1.8quat turbo..

I just want to get an idea of what current owners think of their car as well as some info about modding out my car once I take it home..

I recenty bought a 04 eclipse and have since added a bit of aftermarket performance parts to it and am looking at getting rid of it for somthing AWD Turbo.. basically somthing with a better platform for racing.. not so much racing i guess since this will be an all around every day car.. but somthing I can haul *** in the middle of the night while i go on my nightly cruise to find the odd person who is looking for a good race.. how accessable are the parts for the car and whats the price range.. is it reasonable or outragous to "tune" my car .. any info is good info and i appreciate the time and comments..

i have a 01 2.8 so i don't kno much about how the 1.8t drives but there is one thing that is very similar in audis. hard to find parts, lots of custom diy work and expensive parts. the end result is an extreme racing machine. and another thing for sure, the audi will beat ur eclipse after u mod it. as far as price range goes, im not the right person to talk to lol good luck

 

If you're going to buy a car to use as a daily driver and then to 'race' at night, save yourself a lot of money and buy a 92 Civic HX.

Dude you're buying the wrong car to suit those needs at a decent price mod-wise. The A4 1.8t quattro is a pig stock. You can do some decent mods to it and be "spiritied" but certainly still will get your azz handed to you buy cars you'd think shouldn't be able to do that. And then you'll be suckered in to selling or going for broke and really modding it.
You want the breakdown of mods to get you to where you DO beat up on most everything.... email me. Just to give you an FYI, though, I did about $12k in to performance mods before I was even happy with how this car moves, turns, and stops.
You can mod any one of the 3 (moving, turning, or stopping) and come out ahead on money, but then what good is the car?
Bottom line, the above poster was correct in saying to buy a Honda. Unless you've got some extra cash or lots of credit.

Ok.. Maybe what I said didnt come across the way I wanted it to.. Im not looking for a 10sec 1/4 mile car.. im looking for an everyday car that i can have some fun with.. thats really what im looking for.. as for that link with the mod list.. that that pretty much roll for everything.. ie my a4?
