I was looking over a few 02-03 A4 1.8t's and see that they are sometimes cheaper or around the same amount for a 00-01 s4. Just a thought I could get a more updated audi ,chip it and it would have around 250hp like the stock s4 would. And I guess having the 4 cylinder instead of the v6 I would get better gas millege. What do you guys think?

Yeah I guess the s4 would be a better choice, being as it is modded nicely already... won't have to do much maybe a chip and a blow off. How is the realiability on the 00-01 s4's ?

 

get one with a good service history and you'll be fine for many miles. If you have to ask the question of getting an A4 or an S4.... well, you know

 

Think about it this way...If you get the S4 and chip it you'll be making around 320hp. Not convinced yet?

 

and dont put a BOV on it they need diverter valves to work right man

 

take the s4 for a test drive, trust me ull never want anything else

I like that analogy! I own an S4 and I freakin' love it..I wanted a B6 1.8t for longest time..then I did something stupid..and test drove the S4. If you're willing to pay for it (insurance mostly)..then there really isn't any need for this thread. Simple deicison to me!
