ok my 01 a4 chipped, dv, airbox mod running 16psi manual vs/ my dad's 01 bmw z3 stock auto. what do you think my chances r at the 1/8 mile?

 

depends on how fast you can shift i think it would be close but he is alot lighter so he might take you

 

which engine does he have in his?

 

it all depends on what motor he has..

 

if he has the 1.9l motor he has no chance against u, but if he has a 2.5 then he will be same as u or will win, but if he has the 2.8l motor u have no chance.

 

the 2001 z3 comes in wither a 2.5L V6 or a 3.0L V6.

not a 1.9 or whatnot

you forgot two. outside the u.s. they had a 2.2L and the m roadster has the 3.2L. but ya most are either 2.5 or 3.0. think the 3.0 might have the edge cuase its like over 300 lbs lighter than you. if its a 2.5 i say it'll be pretty close but probly you.
