A4'04 1.8T Q-Enginer light ON
My engine light has turned on two weeks ago. Went to get a diagnosis done and it showed that it was the MAF, replaced it with a new one, light is still on. Further more, the dealer said it could be the ecu or the wiring. Well, I did a hard wire by connecting the positive and negative battery connectors together for just over an hour to reset the ecu, hooked it back to the battery and the light turned on 10 sec after I turned of the car and started again. Could there be a code that does not want to clear? Could the K&N filter have something to do with this? Anyone have any ideas? Greatly appreciated !!!

Go to autozone and get the code(s). There is deffinately something wrong... If you over oil your K&N filter or dont let it saturate properly before running the engine that will F up your maf real quick. The dealer telling you that it could be your ecu/wiring is their roundabout way telling you that they have no idea what it could be and they will gladly look into it for you for $90+/hour. ECU's/wiring typically arent a problem. A maf fault code doesnt necessarily mean your maf is dead, but something is preventing it from putting out the right signal like a boost/ vac leak or turbo problem. Or if you get an 02 sensor fault code it could mean your cat is clogged and the sensor reports #'s that are whack because of it.

Thanks for your help !!!
Went to get it scanned and this is what it said:
16487 P0103 001
Mas or Volume Air Flow Circuit
High Input
18010 P1602 002
Voltage supply- terminal 30
Voltage too low
sporadic
Now I guess is a matter of finding out what that terminal 30 on an electric schematic is or those codes.
Guess will take some time to investigate. Again, thanks !!!

I would try resetting the ecu. The way you did it does not seem correct.
Disconnect the neg. bat cable for five min. (MAKE SURE you have your radio code)
Then drive for 40 miles. See if it comes back, or if it starts running proper.
I have not seen this one: anyone else out there seen this code before? I am clueless on this code.....
18010 P1602 Power Supply (B+) Terminal 30 Low Voltage
The first still looks like a bad reading from MAF.

This code ... 18010 P1602 Power Supply (B+) Terminal 30 Low Voltage ... I believe is because I had the battery disconnected for that hour when I tried to do my ECU reset.
I went to the dealer and thats what came up. I mean, I paid once for the diagnosis and they did not give me the codes so I went back for them.
I am gonna try what you said. Disconnect for 5 min. Reconnect, go for that drive, make sure I have some tunnes, gonna be a long drive
Let you guys know how it turns out, THX !!!

After you disconnect, make sure that you do a throttle body adjustmejnt. Turn the car to "on, but do not start or touch the gas. After 5 minutes turn the car off and then you can start it. Otherwise it will run rough.

Sweet, every bit of info helps !!! Will do as you say. Just to double check (unhook neg., turn key but not to on, leave for 5 min., turn off key, hook up bat - neg.), just wanna make sure I get the procedure right.
Just wanted to add that I thinks its burning rich, I was on the highway and it was burning approx. 100 km / 10 L which would be approx. 28.4 mi / gal.
In addition, my traction control light is on (the one with a circular arrow and a triangle with an exclamation sign in it), I am assuming its because of the engine light, because I get no other code.

No go ... cleared the ECU ... as per my previous forum (as you said acetebo) ... started the engine and the light was off ... went for an hour drive around the city on the highway ... came back ... turned the engine off and then on and attempted to go ... approx. 10 sec after the light came back on
Anything else that can be done ... any other suggestions???
