About to do the front suspension. Need some input.
I ordered the Febi Control Arm Kit With Tie Rod Ends & Hardware from ECS tuning and I'm going to replace the whole of the front suspension components along with one outer CV joint boot and the tie rods.
I have never done this beforeso I would like to get some input from those who did.
- Do I needa special tool to remove the lower control arm ball joint from the steering knuckle?
- Apart from the obvious toe in/out alighnment I will need to do, is there any way I can change the camber and other alighnment (forgot the name of it). It looks like there is no way to adjust it (manual says there are spacers in the suspension).
- Do I need to remove the whole upper shock/control arm support from the car or can I simply replace the upper control arms?
- How hard is it to pull the CV joint off the axle? I read about some doing it with the original center bolt and the kit I ordered comes witht the 14mm hex screw to remove it.
Thant's it for now. Maybe some more questions later.

Here's a good writeup that should answer all your questions.

Cheers! This looks like a fun one, you'll be my hero for getting this done DIY!
Shouldn't need any camber adjusting, there is no adjustment for it on the front. Rear camber adjusts a little from factory.

Thanks. I actually saw that before. Better go and rent the ball joint tool just in case.
BTW, It doesn't seem like a very complicated job. I just did the Tbelt myslef and I have never done it before. Taking the suspension apart seems like a piece of cake compared to taking the bumpre off this car.
