Default THE ABS WARNING

Hello everyone, i had another issue that i would like to resolve without paying massive amounth of money.
Recently i start having ABS sign on my board computer screen. I own Audi a4(b5) 1.8T 95/7. The car runs perfectly and brakes as it useto before, i cant notice any difference. I went ot the mechanic and he told methat i had to wash my wheels from inside, coz there might be some dust on the ABS sensors. So i did, no result, i spend like 10€ on the self wash thing. it was well washed inside outside everywhere, so if there were any dust it would go for sure. The ABS sighn still there. Then i went back to him and told him what happen, he replyed that i need to change all 4 ABS sensors on all wheels, amd ABS pump just to make sure.

Is there cheeper solution to this?

Regards

MSIMSI

P.S i have changes my brakes plates and disks about 6 month ago on all 4 wheels.

have it checked for ABS fault codes ( change all 4 sensors and ECU [:-]) I would shoot your mechanic j/k but seriously he knows nothing about ABS systems and probably cars either with that sort of advice lol

One of my mates has a computer that connects to the car through port in my rear astraiy. As soon as we go to test ABS - my dash board start to make noice with that logo picture. I can erase all ECU error with that VAG software, but the warning from ABS when car is srating remains.

Any other thoats?

I will shoot mechanik myself if you help me sort it out[sm=shootshoot.gif]

Is your brake light on too? I'd bet its the abs control module. How about taking it someone with a VAG software so they can pull the codes.

module? naaa if the light is on solid then its a sensor on the wheel and most common is the front driver side USA or UK ( flashing ABS light indicates module ) check the sensors are plugged in tight and not broken by offroading

slight correction ( driver side UK = offside " middle of the road " ) im sure its the same in the USAeven though you have the steering wheel on the wrong side lol
