Adjusting shocks/struts
Hello all,
I'm pretty much done with the lowered look on my 1998 A4 2.8 It was all fun and games until yesterday, when I hit a small manhole and the damn exhaust system came apart from the front (front of cat) and cost me a cool $700 to fix, long pipe including cat $550 and $150 labor. This is the third time that the exhaust came apart. Anyway, I have adjustable shocks, not sure the brand, but would love to bring the height up again, but the tool I need was thrown away. I guess my question is whether there is a particular tool that is needed to adjust the shocks or a universal tool will work??? and is it that hard or should I take it to a mechanic. I have average fixing ablitiy, nothing major. What you think?

nah, they are all slightly different, though you could get lucky, i'd look at the strut and see what brand it is, just pull the wheel off, cuz then you can prolly find one online.
