Default Advice from veterans

hello all, i am 17 and just aquired my first car, a 2003 A4. i have about 1500 dollars, and am interested in what i should do first, i heard from a friend and my uncle that the most beneficial thing to do first is to chip it. If you agree, what brand, etc. Just looking for input, thanks.

Welcome to the forums...

A chip is a good way to go. It will boost alot of HP for little money.

People have their favorites... mine is APR, since it gives the most HP and Torque of the bunch. Others would prefer GIAC, since they basically made the turbo's for our cars.

Regardless of which company you choose... a chip is the way to go and you will have money left over for other things.

Plan to spend around $500 for the chip. I just got the GIAC and love it. www.giacusa.com The other most popular is the APR chip. www.goapr.com My advice to you is to find a tuning shop closest to you that will install either one. Closer the better, in case there is a problem in the future. Check out both websites and welcome to the forums.
