aftermarket headunit?

i have a 96 a4 with the bose speaker system....and i am going to get this . i know i heard that if you get an aftermarket deck you will have to replace all of your speakers but i went to american and said that you can get this adapter and it will allow you to get a new deck....i was wondering if anyone else has used somethen else like this?

Cool. Yes you do need an adapter if you're going to use the stock speakers. There are a couple people around that have them, but mine is 100% aftermarket.

All it does is adjust the signal output for the speakerss since they have a built in amplifier.

and if you are going with an aftermarket h/u you should almost always if not always go aftermarket all the way around

just mho and .02

I may be ghetto, but I hooked my new deck directly to the stock bose speakers and it's sounds great. Since the bose speaker are 8ohm, you can wire the lower speaker and the tweeter in parallel and it will be 4ohms which is what most decks are ment to run at.

just curious have you had this headunit? because if you dont then you wouldnt really know right. and actually ive heard solid ratings off of this one.
