what do you guys think is one of the "best sounding" DV's for our cars???
i am in the market and just want to get some feedback. thanks!

I don't have much to compare it to, but my forge 007 makes a pretty good sound with the airbox mod.

 

They all sound about the same. It just depends on how much boost is being diverted and your intake setup that changes the sound. So if you are boosting 28 psi and have a big ol cone filter intake (with aftermarket dv), its going to sound pretty cool when you let off the gas. If you are boosting 8 psi with stock air box (with the same aftermarket dv) its not going to sound like much if anything at all.

 

i have done the air box mod... and belive it or not i can clearly hear the stock dv blow off ...
but i'm pretty sure i'm gonna go with the forge 007.
btw i drive a 01 1.8T tip

 

forge 007 is a good one so is the rs

 

ya the airbox mod is about the equivilent to a cone filter as far as sound is concerned. Theres really not a difference in sound from DV to DV. Its all about the intake setup and amount of boost being diverted.

 

gotta have boost to have sound
