This website might also help some of the folks out there.

That actually isnt a bad deal on that site. 93 bucks for an uncut key, definately beats 147 from the stealership.

Yeah, and the sticky part..... Im kind of puzzled too.

What keys do they give to new A4 sales?

edit: I'm wondering if I need to haggle in another set of keys as part of the deal.

2 Key fob keys, 1 Valet key, and a little electronic pad.

Yeah youre right. the dealer was screwing with me, probably because he knew I wasnt going to buy the part from them.

Part number ends in an "E" the last 3 letter/number combos are for you "color code"

When i got my car from a non audi dealership they only gave me one key but since the volvo i was trading in had 2 sets of fobs and 1 valet i made them order me a new f.o.b. I wrote a longer thread somewhere in here about that whole fiasco but long story short; ***** bags not only said they could program the new switchblade key (which they did order from audi) but in the process of the whole 'put the o.g. key in the ignition, roll down the windows nonsense they were trying they actually ERASED my o.g. fob. The car still started using the original FOB but none of the door nor trunk buttons worked... RAD . I got Rusnak to reprogram both keys and got charged a pretty hefty amount which the other dealership and i are fighting over weather they should pay or not. again, RAD!

Also, yes, N003S, like myself do indeed read the stickies....

Anyway, good to know this piece of info, thank you for A4NICATOR.

No problem

I just received my additional fob. It came with a cut key, so Im screwed in that aspect. I called Audi and they told me I would have to order the entire detachable part of the fob with the key, because that is how they come... $59. I highly doubt thats true. I just need to find a blank, get it cut, and attach it to my remote.
