I was thinking about a turbocharged V6..has anyone ever done this??

or you can custom fabricate your own setup. some guy with a passat did it. but without lowering the compression your not gona be able to run that much psi

 

Looks like you would hit it it on anything you drove over. Probably gets bad turbo lag also. From what i've read there is no good way to turbo a 2.8 that doesn't cost lots and lots of money.

 

How much does that turbo setup cost?

 

that turbo will give you maybe 10 more horse probably. then a day later you bottom out on it and everything falls off haha. there's no way to turbo a 2.8 properly without having it to cost a fortune.

if your rich and wanna paly around a bit, get a 3.0 crank, put the 2.8 heads on it with a couple of turbos and a standalone system. you'll be around 500whp with that easily.

if your not rich or dont' want to spend the money for that, turbo charging is definitely not your answer.

if you really want turbos and a v6, buy an s4.

if you have DBW, lemmiwinks can help get you a few extra hp by richening the air fuel mixture. which i'm going to try when spring comes. right now, i have leaned my mixture a bit beacuse gas in my area is 3.51 for premium ahhhhhhhhh. lol

 

sts systems add way more than 10hp, they dont have that much lag, and why do you people bottom out your cars?

if your at the right rpm it shouldn't take more than 1 second for it to be fully spooled. http://www.ststurbo.com/turbolag look down at the bottom for the chart.

 

at theres supposdly more time for the air too cool down due to a longer travel time before going into the intake. i know somone running one, forget where i saw it, but he said he was making somthing around 330chp at the lower boost setting. i actualy think it was on a 12v, ill look for it hold on.

about 2500-3 grand, really not that bad for what your getting, considering 2.8s are dead in the water as far as other big hp mods.
