anybody taken apart sunroof ??
 

so i greased my sunroof sicne its sticking and doesnt seem to want to move without putting mad strain on the little motor.
as i watched the sunroof move one side is getting more strain than the other causing it to bind up. but i dont know any or
all of the componants in there that could be causing this. anyone have experience with these damn things.
(ive never had a sunroof before hehehe)

ive only taken apart the motor, not the actually roof, sorry

yeah i am assuming the motor is good since its making noise as if its trying to push the sunroof.
plus if i guide it in it goes. its that the sunroof isnt sliding evenly on the rails. thus one side gets
ahead of the next and it stops, motor strains and makes the clicking noise and then stops.
but if i help it along and keep it even in both rails its fine. so somethings gotta be loose or a screw
missing or something.

maybe try banging it around a bit or something, haha, get a bentley repair manual, i would have it in there. i can check in mine but really tired, ill post about it tomorrow if i find in the morning

I think ECS tuning sells a kit to replace/repair the rails...

Not sure if this is it, but at the bottom, 11 bucks... says they can break and not allow full operation of the sunroof. Hmm.

You have to remove the a,b,c pillars. The suvisors and the overhead console. Then you can drop down the headliner.

anyone have the schematic for the sunroof? Or any helpful diagrams of how it works? My sunroof is being weird, sometimes when I just turn the car on it will raise up even if the dial is in closed position and then itll take me a few tries of moving the dial around before i can get it to completely close again.
