RE: APR B7 k04
It's APR, they are always more expensive. But on the plus side, you get a complete kit, with software and support to go along with it. So you wont be seeing 20 page threads about people trying to get this kit to work and run right for 3 weeks at a time.

You need to work out what your priorities are, pay a lil more and have seamless reliability or put it together yourself and risk the potential issues. You gotta pay to play and all that fun stuff

RE: APR B7 k04
A) this is old news
B) APR is not over priced. You get what you pay for, just cause this isn't some 2,000 civic turbo kit doesnt mean its over priced. How many people do you know have ever had a problem with an APR product? Whens the last time you saw a post saying "APR ruined my car" APR is perfect for the guy who wants to wake up every morning and start his car. The reliability of their products is well worth the money.

RE: APR B7 k04
I don't think no one has any problem about quality of APR. They are doing great job.

Only thing is the price of their product. At least they are not priced for a student.

RE: APR B7 k04
There's more to it than that. Member when you did your turbo? Every day you posted more and more things that we wrong, broke, or missing form your kit. Your car wasn't running for like a week, and who knows how long after till it was running good. I understand it was the first one, but I have talked to the guy that has the first b6 apr k04 kit, and guess what... he didn't have those problems. APR is much more user friendly to the person that isn't a crazy mechanic too. Their installers are fast, and with the stage 3 kit you get all of the programs on EMCS...thats pretty tight. I personally don't have a problem paying 5 grands for a stage 3+ kit, when I go BT i won't really consider anything else. APR has proved their ****. And until some other companies get their **** together, they will continue to hold the reputation and charge the prices they do. You get what you pay for.

RE: APR B7 k04
Don't get me wrong. I do not have any problem with APR

I know they are the one of the best and I know APR has no problem/missing parts/bla bla with their kits. I have local friend that has ARP kit on his Golf and works perfect!

I'm just saying that price is high that's all.

RE: APR B7 k04
yea APR has quality stuff but i still dont think its worth the price

look the B6 APR k04 kit is $2299.00 with turbo, injectors
the B7 k04 is $4299.00 with turbo, manifold, test pipe

usually programming for the b7 is 100.00 more then the B6 programming

so

4299.00 APR B7 kit - 2299.00 APR B6 Kit - 100.00 B7 programming mark up price = so it is 1900 for the manifold and test pipe ?????????

the kit doesnt come with upgraded injectors also but it does come with a test pipe so they really marked up the price

RE: APR B7 k04
its all about demand - new b7's are hot - give it some time it'll come down

also that price is a feeler if they see sales dorping cuz ppl arent paying it'll drop - same notiong, if ppl run out and get it price will be constant

as for dinan for bmw - apr is far from it
