Audi A4 1.8T - Just bought yesterday - USED
Hi, I'm new and I've been searching for a certain issue that came up today--JUST ONE DAY after I bought the car from the lot! When I test drove it, it started beeping at me. I took it to a mechanic and he said everything's fine. We assumed the beeping was happening because it was almost on empty. I bought it, thinking it just needed gas. But I filled it up with gas this morning, and the check engine light came on, too. It took a few tries to start the car, and I drove it round the block to see if the light would go off. It didn't so I checked the gas cap. It was fine. I'm not really sure what else it could be.
So, the car is still beeping, the engine light is on (NOT FLASHING, just on), so I took it to a shop to get it checked. The guy said it could be anything from a broken coil to a misfire. But this is my first car, and I don't know a whole lot, but are the beeping and the light completely separate issues or are they related?
The guy at the auto shop said I should take it back to the lot and ask for them to fix it, but I don't know. Has anyone experienced the same thing as me?
EDIT: And the air bag light came on too.

Obviously there are issues,
YOU NEED TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP!!!!!
Get them to fix it and get tough, get pissed off and give them a list of things wrong with it. They should scan it for codes to see what's wrong and go from there
