VAG and Coil Packs and VW vs Audi

Will the VAG-Com tell you if you have a bad coil pack or will it just show a code for misfire?

Also is there a difference in VW vs Audi coil packs?

Since VW makes audi, none. Probably have the same engine.

Vag-com will just give code for the misfire. You need to trouble shoot to find out if its bad.

Easiest way is to find out which cylinder is misfiring with a code reader or vagcom.

Then, swap the coil pack with another cylinder, and see if it follows the coil pack or not.
