audi a4 reliability
hey whats up? im new and dont actualy own an audi. i am in the market for a 99-01 a4 1.8t quattro. anyway's, i was wondering if someone could let me in on audi reliability. specifically how long they last, as in mileage. i dont want to buy a car thats gonna die at 100000 miles. thanx a bunch.
Welcome.. All Audi's die at exactly 100,000 miles.
Just kidding. Theyll go as long as any other car depending on how well you take care of it of course. 1.8t is more maintnace and more parts w/tons of potential. 2.8 is more dependable in the long run with limited potential.

1st thing is its no Honda, in means of minimal maintance. IF the car has been well maintained, and not abused they can run for a long time. Audi's do require more maintance than alot of other econo cars. Things to look for, ~60k belts, tensior, water pump, themostat. ~100k+ control arms, wheel bearings tierod ends and suspension related items, cv joints/boots. Lots of stuff to look for, if its too good of a deal really inspect the car to see why its such a good deal.
its a funny question dude it is all up to you if you take good car of the engine it will last long but if you dont then its a question mark and where doyou get 100,000 from? its weird i feel like its not the first time this post is up>?
Like said before if maintained they will last a long time my cousin has a 91 200tq with 260,000 on it and its still going strong, It all depends on how well you take care of your car
the 1.8T is a turbo charged motor and the 2.8 is a N/A motor a lot of little stuff goes on the 1.8T's vacuum lines and just little stuff but the modding potential is a lot bigger with the 1.8T
