I'm new to this forum and these kind of cars. As of right now i own a 04 Acura RSX, but im looking into getting a 98 A4 1.8T. I have little knowledge about Audi's and i was how long Audi's can last if taken care of and are they reliable. Any input would be very helpful and greatly appreciated! For specifics im looking into a 98 Audi A4 1.8T, 89,000miles, $8,500.

 

good choice mate they are very good cars and well built, they will last as long as you want them to you put in you get a long laster good maintenance is the key to any car

 

As long as the timing belt has been changed, I havn't heard of any serious serious problems with the engines. You might have to replace the turbo in another 30k miles or so, but who knows. It really depends on how the previous driver took care of it. That price might be a little high btw.

I 'd say just a little high, especially if timing belt hasn't been done.

This is a car for those that like to do their own maintenance and mods, or those that have a lot of money to spend on repairs.

If you can do a lot yourself, go for it. They are awesome vehicles, especially the one you are looking at has a lot of modding potential.

As long as you keep up the suggested maintenance, the cars are great.
