So the iPod integration that is available all seems to work the same and I am not completely satisfied

I have the MP3YourCar.com integration which displays CDC1 and TRACK 00 through 99.
I can change tracks easily, but I cannot see the song name or change to a different playlist/artist/etc.

So...
I was wondering if anyone knows if Audi is going to incorporate this in to future headunits?
If a 2007 audi has that, i'd love to pick up a headunit off someone who crashes or replaces it, etc.

I dont know of any integration with the stock headunits that will allow for this, it all seems the same.
Maybe a Pioneer NAV touchscreen unit would work, but then i dont have that stock look anymore.

Sounds like you have that Neo joint. I got the DICE. My thoughts are don't hold your breathe, the only way I think it'll happen is with an aftermarket solution. Which is cool, but I'm with you, I like the stock look so I'll just deal with it. But good luck in your search, you find something let us know.

 

Ok, so I just picked up a 8gig Nano (kinda cool cause it matches my interior with that black rubbery look). Ive searched through the postings for ipod integration kits and have come to two pretty good solutions:

This seems like a good product. The web page claims that you can even browse tracks through the stock HU screen. Its not clear whether or not you can browse using both the deck AND the ipod or if the ipod controls are disabled once its plugged in.

The second is the Neo: from www.mp3yourcar.com
You can control song selection with both the stereo and the ipod but its not clear if you can browse the titles from the stock HU.

Does anyone have the Dice unit installed? If so, are the ipod controls disabled once its plugged in?

Id like to have a unit that both shows the song titles in the stock HU and also lets me control song slection from the HU and the ipod.

i have a blitzsafe with my concert h/u....works like a dream

 

I have a nice Alpine Deck w/ IPOD connecting cable, works really really well. CD's suck

 

So, by works like a dream do you mean that you can:
1) Control the ipod from both the HU and the ipod itself ?
2) See the song titles/etc on the HU itself ?

Icelink would be nice, but doesnt look like it connects to the HU AS port. I dont have CD Changer controls on my Symphony deck.
