Default audi key...

So my Audi key visited the ocean once again today but something different happened

IT GOT WET!

i usually keep it in a a plastic baggy in my pocket when i go surf, and i have done this before
but the bag failed me and leaked so i had a nice plastic bag of brown acid from the remote.
It is a 3 button, so im looking to order 1 or 2 more. ive searched the forums and here's my question
my car is a 98, so does it NOT have a trunk release that i wasn't told about, or how would i go about deciding
that my car has a trunk release? there is no manual one in the car, you have to get out and pop it. so
is there a way to find out if i have one, or is it a definate NO that i don't have one? there is no manual release in the car
that's why i am assuming. if so then i would go buy the 4 button and not the 3 button for my car

Thanks

The three button was for the Avant, not the Sedan on the B5. Get the same thing (by the way, these are called two button remotes. The panic button is not counted. Go to eBay

I purchased the 3 button for my 98 and it works fine. The two button remote is a more logical choice but they are much harder to find and cost a lot more too. Ebay is the place to look-they have plenty. If you get the 3 button just disregard the trunk release button.
