I heard that audi cars are unreliable and cost a fortune for maintance. Is this true?

 

THat's what I thought before I bought my B7. First of all, maintenance is free for 50k miles. Secondly, I've had it for 3.3k miles now and I moved from Nissan and I LOVE the build quality. I'm sure others will post but I can tell you that quality has got better over last 2 years.

 

But see, I wouldnt be buying a new b7 but a 2001 b4 1.8t so I cant get the warranty program you have.

Hmm that makes quite a difference. The only problems I've heard of is Oil Sludge (maybe after 150k miles) and timing belt which needs to be replaced at 60k (75k for B7).

But Ive heard the 2001 a4's are money pits.

 

And thats the year I found a great car in.
