Automatic in ice and snow
Hi all, sorry but am one of those irritiating newbies
Recently acquired and A4 Cabriolet automatic and am rather apprehensive to say the least driving in wonderful winter Blighty. Been living overseas for a number of years and never had to encounter the fearful driving winter conditions we have here.
I keep reading about a snow button to use when taking off but can't see where that is in the car and wondered how all you knowledgeable folk have coped in icy conditions driving the A4 automatic.
ANY advice would be greatly appreciated
Thanks to all

They're very good. If its quattro its better. Since you said automatic, I've driven FWD standards in the snow and they are terrible and im sure quattros dont do well either, reason being is that standard cars have drivetrain lash from letting the clutch out and this makes the wheels lunge back and forth and break traction... people will say well maybe you suck at standard but no you can feather it and peel your clutch out or you can break traction up to you... So yes if you have a automatic with a quattro you are doing well.
