B5 A4 exhaust upgrades
ok... so im looking into upgrading the exhaust on my car, i just don't know which ones to look at. I know APR has one that's pretty nice, although expensive, and a lot of people seem to like the Borla system as well. What I'm looking for is mostly performance, and something with just a deeper but not obnoxious sound to it. If you guys could offer some other options/advice it would be greatly appreciated. The car is a 98 1.8t FWD

RE: B5 A4 exhaust upgrades
Love the Borla, will more than likely hold up performance wise what ever you throw at it. It's a bit cheaper than the APR, and has a "Million Mile Warrenty". Can't hardly beat that...
The tone is noticable over the stock exhaust, and it's not "rice". Sounds like a european exotic at high RPM's, just the way it should... :D |
RE: B5 A4 exhaust upgrades

RE: B5 A4 exhaust upgrades
im still mistified that i cant order a milltek muffler, and hook it up to custom piping...
i'd go milltek, but borla sounds sweeet too... |
RE: B5 A4 exhaust upgrades
thanks for the comments so far... after doing some more research, I'm leaning towards the Borla, it seems to be the best quality/performance for the price. if you have any additional opinions/info don't hesitate.
