Default B5 S4 engine in a B6?

So I was wondering the other day..anyone ever done a B5 S4 2.7TT into a B6 A4? Would it bolt right in? Put that in a 1.8t, total sleeper! Hmmmm

its been done in a b7 and im sure you could do it in a b5, but for that cost you could buy an s4 or drop vr6t in for cheaper and get even more power. its still gona run you ~8k if you do your own work

If you're serious about a motor swap, the current reigning motor swap champ is the vr6-t swap.

Anything else is just a waste of money and time in the grand scheme of things. You can sell yours, and buy the car with the engine option you want for less. The exception is the vr6-t, it actually renders superior horsepower for the dollar... very superior if done correctly.

Nice.

I think he want's the biturbo V6 in a B6 shell though.

For the original question, yes a B5 S4 motor will bolt into a B6 A4. You'll still need the transmission and rear diff from the S4 though. Possibly a custom driveshaft. To pull it off, you really need a donor S4 to ensure you have all the proper parts.
