Just a thought. Not planning on doing it. I like the B6 body better than the B5 and simply wondered.
Right after I posted I ran across the big thread on motor swaps.
But, sometimes when doing something unique and custom, you really don't care about the cost, you do it to do it.

 

If you're going to spend money just to spend money, there's a better option than the 2.7tt. Yes, if you have an unlimited budget, let your mind run rampant.

 

its been talked about for years... i think i read somewhere that it was done.... i know a company in europe does it for about $80k and included a new car in the price plus a full TT swap

thats just stupid. at that price you could just buy an rs4. there's a shop out there that does a 2.7t swap in a b5 for like 5500 w/ k03's, little more for k04's. and IIRC, auditech79 did it at the audi academy training and it cost them around 30g's w/ drivetrain and everything.

 

it has been done a few times. ABT put the 2.7t in a B6 avant a while back. that would be a sick car to have..

but trust us. it's more time, money, and know how than you're probably willing to spend
