Just curious if anyone has had experience with headlamp control module replacement. I had a "left headlamp dipped" message....replaced the bulb and still didn't fire up...took to the dealer and they diagnosed it as the headlamp control module. It will cost $695.00 for them to replace it...I know I will have to take the bumper off to get to the module...but just wondering if it's really that big of a deal to pay them $700 if I could just buy the part from them and do the work myself for $300....

Any thoughts...advice?

 

Its not too bad. Remove the bumper. Remove headlamp. Module is bolted to bottom of headlamp. You will need tamperproof torx to get it out. Set is available at sears.
