I had my car scanned and had the codes for a bad cat and associated o2 sensor. I called a dealer just for fun and they quoted roughly 1200$ around 900 for pars and a few hours of labor. I have a 4 year service that I believe will cover it, but those guys must be crazy. Do people actualy pay that I mean find a universal high flow cat and an 02 sens and have a tuner shop put it on. There are links on this site to get a cat and an o2 sens for cheap and its a relatively quick job cut out old fit in new. Man those guys rip you off. Just wanted to get your thoughts. Also the car runs fine same power and milage, my guess is the cat is fine but the 02 is bad adnd the computer cant figure out which one is actually bad so it gives flags the two of them.

i took out my cat and put in an ATP 3" Race Pipe and i just taped off the holes to the old cat annd stuck it in my closet so when it comes time to smog, i can just swap them out... But i also got an APR performance chip. Will it pass smog if everything is stock except for the chip?
