Default Bentley Manual (Book vs. CD)

Looking for your thoughts on the CD or Book version of the Bentley manual for the B6, 1.8TQM.

Is the CD searchable, does it have a decent parts listing?

I'm concerned that it is only a PDF of the entire printed manual and doesn't offer much additional functionality.

I have no problem printing off pages only as I need, putting them in sleeves and adding to the three ring binder that sits in the garage. But if all I can do i use the table of contents or index to get to the correct page I may as well just kill one big tree at once and get the book.

Thoughts?

i'd get the book because i can take it with me to the car. with the CD, i'd dread having to print off pages.

With your considerations in mind, let's look at the pros and cons of both options. The service manual book can be handy, as you can always keep it close by and quickly find the information you need. However, it is more prone to wear and tear. A CD, on the other hand, can provide more convenient access to multimedia content such as videos or interactive diagrams. However, you will need a computer or device with a CD drive to use it. Ultimately, the choice depends on your working style and preferences.
