best vag com setup
 

just recently i had to take my car into the dealer to delete the MAF error codes i had. In the end i didnt have to pay becuase of a long story with the tow company. also had to get rid of air bag light .but i realized i could of done that shit myself. so what i am looking to get is a vag com setup that can delete the errors codes. also want to be able to make all windows go down when hold unlock because that is just cool. what do you guys have in mind and from where. o ya its a 98 2.8

Search. In short, you can get a general OBD tool that will retrieve and clear codes. It's a cheap option and may be all you need. If you are are serious, you can get a Vag-Com, which I would recommend anyway. Go Ross-Tech Vag-Com USB-Key. I think I saw a used one here in the for sale forum. If you only want to do a simple mod like the windows, fogs or whatever one time only, go to a get together and ask someone to do it for you. You can then get a general OBD tool to take care of your codes if that's all you plan to do mostly.

you can also head to autozone to get your codes scanned and cleared.
