So what is the theory behind a big tubo besides the obvious more power. I mean does it just produce more volume? Does it allow you to run more boost? My stage 1 apr is already producing about 21psi I cant imagine pushing more than that.

Turbos have air rates for the compressor and the turbine when you increase the air rate you can push more hp per pound of boost. Heres a demonstration.

He has huge traction problems you can see in second, I saw another video of it during the day having traction problems at about 80mph. Anyway that is only 22 pounds of boost.

so basiclly you are putting more air into the engine with the same psi

Bigger turbo basically means more airflow. The stock K03 is tiny. Here's a K03 vs a GT3076R. A GT3076R at 10 psi will produce much more power than the K03 at 22 psi due to the greater volume of air.

cool deal...so what is a good size turbo upgrade1.8t then? I have heard a lot about the gt28

money really isnt a factor right now. I just want something that has room to grow and it will go good with what I have now

gt28 is a good starter bt

the sky is the limit

you can pretty much run any turbo you want with the right programming

but the bigger the turbo the more stress on the motor, and eventually you will have to build the motor up

30psi is probably pushing it on stock internals with just about any turbo
