Default Bit confused on E-Codes ... please help me out

Here is a link to the AWE site that shows some light housings. E-codes ??? Are these E-codes? Or are E-codes a specific brand like Valeo?

I have a 2001 Audi A4 TQM and want to order a set of these light housings but I don't want to get the wrong thing. So the other question I have is how doe you know whether you have standard lights, HID lights or the Xenon? They all look the same to me. Any help on this would be helpful.

My other problem is that my drivers side headlight seems to be pushed back too far at the corner. Meaning it doesn't sit flush with the body. I tried to remove the light to fix this but could not get the light out. Is there a reference page that could show me the removal of the lights?

Please help me out if you can.
Thanks All,
Pete

Yes, those are E-codes. E-codes is the term giving to the European light output standard. American lights are DOT lights.

When you turn on your headlights stand in front of them. Are they bluish like BMW's (HID/XENON)? Or are the just normal white/yellow (Hallogen)?

To remove the lights remove the two torx screws on the top. There is a plastic bracket that keeps the bottom portion of the light attatched. You have to kind of wiggle it out, but be careful not to break it.

There are 2 torx screws on top of the lights. You'll need a long torx screw driver to get the third. It's below the horizontal adjustment screw on the outside.
