Body/Rust
Agreed - never an automatic wash (where you ride the conveyer belt). I used those back in high school (thankfully I had a POS Pontiac at the time), and the rollers that run over your bodywork to guide the dryers, ended up stripping the paint off my hood once. I will NEVER use those things. Wand wash or hand detail only (hand detail highly recommended).
My Audi has been in WA its whole life. Its a 1998.5 with over 160,000 miles one it. Not even one spot of rust to date on the body. My brakes have some rust spots, Underneath it looks pretty clean, but I'm sure there is some rust there somewhere.
I have a 96, it has absoloutely no rust except on the calipers. The rotors are perfect it's just the calipers. I'm really happy with it, it came out of Pennsylvania where it snows alot so ya.
