Boost cutting out
Ok, haven't done any logs yet..
Here is the synopsis:
Blew my GTRS, ATP put a new CHRA in and sent it back. I installed it.
Boost is a lot lower now.
with my EBC at 50% i was pulling 22psi (on old turbo) now im getting like 12psi.
With it set at 70% I was pulling 25-26psi (on old turbo) now im hitting 20psi and the boost immediately drops to 10psi the second it hits 20psi.
Im thinking that it could be that the blown turbo might have pushed a lot oil into the FMIC and I lost a lot of efficiency so now the air is hotter and the car is pulling boost because AIT's are high.
But that wouldnt explain why the boost is a ton less with the new turbo.
Tomorrow morning I am going to check the bolts on the Exducer side and make sure they are extremely snug around the CHRA. (now im thinking of checking them all)
I will clean the Forge BOV to make sure that its not just "letting air out" (But wouldnt this make an obvious audible sound?)
The car was sitting for about 3 weeks after the turbo blew... so the battery went dead, I plugged in the SPS3 and set it back to B9 in hopes that the engine might have just been getting an overboost code and that the settings for the boost might have been lost.
I dont really know a ton about how everything works, but im enjoying learning.. any thoughts or opinions??
Im going to plug the SPS3 in and set it to T1 just to see if that helps out.
Ohh and Im going to try and log 020(Knock), 004(AIT), and 115(Boost)
Would you guys concur on this??
I didnt have a boost leak before the turbo went out.. but who knows what this could be.

Just cutting off at 20 PSI.. the logs look fine.. in fact they look like I can add a little bit more timing
I will go double check to make sure teh EBC isnt somehow set to off or something weird.. but it changes the boost when i change the %

Wastegate??
I will re check the settings on the EBC, kinda ruling out the BOV, because it would be pretty loud if it started leaking and dropped 10psi.. hell it wakes up the neighbors when it lets 2psi escape lol
