RE: boost gauge setup
Just did this today. Take off the panel under the steering wheel above the driver's knees. Pull the center vent out. Drill a hole, (5/16" is fine) in the plastic behind the vents on the side closest to the driver. Push the hose down through the hole, and it will pop out in the footwell.
As for the engine side, there's a vacuum hose on the near side of the intake manifold, towards the front of the hood. It's right next to a coolant hose running from the radiator. That's the hose that you tap into. There's a little rubber grommet to the right of the ECU box close to the driver's side mirror that you can run the boost guage line through to the interior of the car. If you still want pics, AWE tuning has a .pdf with pictures that show you exactly what to do, or I can take pics tomorrow for you. It's real easy. The actual install took about 20 minutes, but I took an hour to find a fitting that didn't come with my hoses around town. |

Thats the hose you want.

RE: boost gauge setup
That is one clean engine bay. That manifold looks spectacular.
I tapped that hose closer to where it connects to the manifold, but yeah. |

Finished install. Put friction tape (hockey tape) on the top and bottom of the center vent to ensure a good fit and no rattling. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...boostline1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...boostline2.jpg Take the vent out and drill a hole. As I'm doing this, I realize this exact spot isn't ideal. Drill your hole an inch or two farther towards the front of the car. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...oenginebay.jpg There's a little grommeted hole from the engine bay behind the ECU box close to the side mirror. Push the line through there. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...inethrough.jpg This is another drill hole. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v415/Yuikio/tap.jpg This is the vacuum line I tapped. |
RE: boost gauge setup
Yuikio do you mind posting more pics of your dash... I want to see how you did the stereo install. It looked different from the regular kits.
