Default boost gauge wiring ?? Boost Gauge installed..

So as I wait to find out whats wrong with my car (limp mode no shifting tranny issue)

I decided to finally install my boost gauge ..I got it off of another member who diy center vent

anyway no problems running the vac lines (I ran it to the FPR line ..think thats the best)

but couldnt get power to run to the light in the gauge?? posted is a pic of the rear... I hooked up wires into clamps cliped them onto the rear prongs then ran them to AWE instructions say for their gauge .. no power??

Electronics have never been my thing..Im more mechanically inclined...

anyone??

you will need to get connectors unless he gave them to you with the guage, auto parts store like a couple of bucks, roll of wire same, or i would use 2 rolls, just to be safe

Doesn't matter as long as you have a power and a ground.

It doesnt matter what side is pos. and neg.,

what i did was get some cheap wire, link one wire from one prong to the 75X terminal and another wire from the other prong to a dead screw or something. that is all

O and check to see if the light bulb is not dead, i had that problem, go to kragen or someplace and and get a new bulb

no pictures, sorry

Your gauge looks a lot like mine

and on mine, to get the light out is kind of a pain in the A**, but i got a wrench and grabed it and yanked it out. You can see on the plastic light housing that the outside edge has 4 "bumps". you pinch those in. imagine like getting a dvd outof a dvd case i guess. I cant really explain it. just give it a good squeeze and pull. No punn intended.

About the light. I dont remember what # or brandthe light was but if you go to kragen, they should have a ton of little lights that look exactally like like your light. Im pretty sure it doesnt matter which one you get as long as its the right ammount of wattage and voltge. I think it was something like 4 wats and 12 volts? On my bulb that came with the gauge, the voltage and wattage was printed on the bulb itself, so your might say also. they all come in one color unless you specify the color like red or blue. your bulb is probalby a white yellow-ish bulb

good luck
