Same here.To the T. I swear if this fixes my kicked into limp mode problem you are a forum god. I have made 1 or 2 posts about his no one knew what it was, the performance specialist at evolution motorsports had no idea, neither did audi. Man I hope this fixes the problem, I so want to pown some ricers but can't because if I hold full boost for like 5 seconds it kicks me into limp mode. Which means even if I beat them that time, when they catch me at the next liight I probably wont. WEAK.This results in race and runs. Even weaker.Anyway yeah I'll let you know if it fixes it.

Im checking this hose tomorrow because i get this loud whoosh sound coming from the drivers side like you're talking about but only when im under presure.I did notice a lot of oil build-up on thathose when i installed the boost guage, however I still hold 18-20psi

If that is indeed the problem then Yes it will be faster since you will be getting all your boost.

That is going to be impressive because even with the leak she can boogie (until we hit limp mode of course)

I am a bit scared to fix my leak because im boosting 18-20psi now, so if i fix the leak then I (in theory) will be above 20psi.

If your boosting 19psi I highly doubt you have a big leak. There may be a tiny puncture so when you fix it the boost may only go up 1-2psi. All cars react differently to chips as far as the amount of boost they put out. In thoery it could range anywhere from 15psi all the way up to 22-23psi without doing any damage.

As for you NuYorker, I doubt a boost leak is your problem since you are hitting limp mode which means you are over boosting. If you had a vac or boost leak you would definetly not be hitting limp mode since you probobaly wouldnt be able to make more than 10-12psi. Since your over boosting, I would check the plugs, ignition coils, and possibly the n75 because when they go bad they can cause fluctuations in boost.

Not trying to sound like an idiot but does'nt the n75 release air into the atmosphere? Which could be what im hearing on the drivers side.

no, the n75 controls the wastegate and tells it when to open. It responsible for making sure the wastegate opens to prevent you from over boosting. The audi turbo system is closed loop so you vent nothing to the atmosphere, it all gets vented back into the intake unless you have a bov which is probably why your having problems. You should not hear any air rushing through a hollow tube type of noise while you are driving. Also if you have a boost leak you will run rich so check your exhaust tips for a thick black residue. Also the turbo and n75 are on the passenger side, if you are hearing it from the driver side I would check the L hose behind the intake manifold and the throttlebody hose thats runs to the intercooler. You can also inspect the vac lines that run from the FPR to the intake manifold and the lines from the DV to the intake manifold.
