Hey guys i'm cross posting this from the TT forum because you guys also have the 1.8L motor.
And get the which BOV should i use junk a lot.

Forge has a new DV valve out now it's a 50/50 BOV/DV for the 1.8LT

as much as i understand it's NO NO for any kind of bov, even 50/50 one.... not gonna work for audi, unless u got some big brain and lot’s of money to invest or have no money and no brain at all…

^^i dont think so. i think it just needs to be closed at idle and you'll be ok. the ecu will adapt for the rest.

So its only at idle that it its taking note? If thats the case you just block off the joint and use a regular BOV since at idle there should be nothing going through anyways becuase there is not enough pressure to open the DV valve. That doesnt make sence to me.

I have a GFB Hybred D-BOV. Strightup if you are venting ANYthing out your engine will run rich end of story. Even at 10% blowoff at high revs i still throw codes indacating that there is a lack of fuel, not to mention i can see it running rich by monitoring the blocks in VAGCOM. the bottom line it is bad for your engine, save yourself the money and get a nice DV. I personaly have found the sound of a K04 spooling up much more pleasing then the pshhhhh sound anyway, after awhile it just sounds like a tractor trailers air breaks.
