Ok one last wheel question before I beat this into the ground. On the 2001's when I search for models with the sport package, some come up with these wheels.

other's come up with these wheels which I like much better. I believe someone said they are the RS4 wheels.

The first looks like a smaller wheel with a larger hub area and 10 spokes. The 2nd looks like a larger wheel with a smaller hub area and 9 spokes. Does anyone know if these are just an added upgrade? They look similar but the 2nd looks better IMHO. What's the deal? I'm still searching for the perfect car. If it means flying half way across the country it's gonna happen.

I wouldn't base your decision on what wheels come on the car. You can always buy 18" or 19" rs4 reps for cheap if the car you buy has lame wheels. The rs4's that sometimes come on the sport package are 17".

i agree, i wouldn't buy a car based solely on what wheels come on it, you can allways replace them..

BUT, i WOULD be sceptical about buying a car that was falsely advertised.
and that 1st link that claims to have the sport pkge. DOES NOT

as I previously said, 2001's sport pkge came with the RS4 wheels (like the 2nd link has, the red A4)
the 1st link (the black one) DOES NOT appear to have the sport pkge. , as they claim it does
if their gonna lie to you about that, what else might they not be being truthfull to you about ???

FYI: the sport pkge also upgraded the suspension with a noticable, and much improved, difference
it's more than just the wheels

 

Not all sport packages came with the 17" wheels. I have an early 2001 with the sport suspension package that came with the 16" wheel.

 

I have a 2000 with the sport package and the same wheels as JettaRedII.

 

I have a 2000 Sport Package as well with those same 16in wheels...

 

My 01, with a sport package, has those wheels that the first link in the original post and Jettared have.

 

Yeah, sport package and 16's. Bought it used from a dealership, but I always assumed the previous owner swapped on stocks or something.
