Default Buying first Audi, A4

Hey, I am planning to buy this mother on Monday.

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...dist=20#vdptop

It is a dark blue A4 Quattro with 160,000 miles on it, and a 5 speed manual transmission.

I got it offered to me for 6,000 even and I told the guy I would be taking up his offer on Monday.

Any suggestions? Or ideas about if the price is fair or not? Thanks in advance, I am much appreciative of any help!

That's a lot of miles. If it hasn't been done yet, it will need it's second timing belt replacement. ($$$)

I highly recommend shopping around more.

Thats a lot of miles for 6k price tag, I'd keep looking around. Although the 2.8's last longer than the 1.8t's on average, but **** is gonna start breaking, alot at 160k miles..

O.K. Thanks guys. I found out the T-Belt and front control arms have already been replaced recently, but the clutch and head gaskets have never been replaced.

Any idea how many miles on average that the A4 will go before needing a new clutch or head gasket? (I know this questions relies on a million other factors, but just an idea in general)?

Thanks!

DAMN! clutch gone by 160,000. Sux. I really wanted this car but I can't really afford if I am expecting a $1,000 clutch bill soon.

The T-Belt was done at 120,000. Do I really have 90,000 miles per belt like they say?

Oh yea and does this car have an interference engine?
